Salim Nathoo (Chairman, Apax)
Salim Nathoo is a Partner in the Tech & Telco team and is based in London. Salim is also a member of the Investment Committees for the Apax Buyout Funds, Apax Digital Fund and Apax Global Alpha. Salim joined Apax Partners in 1999 specialising in the Tech & Telecom space. He has both led and participated in a number of key deals including Inmarsat (2003 and 2019), ThoughtWorks, Candela, EVRY, GlobalLogic, iGATE, Orange Switzerland, Sophos, SMART Technologies, Weather Investments, Tim Hellas, Promethean and Mobifon. He has served as advisor and board member to a number of Apax portfolio companies including ThoughtWorks, Syneron Candela, EVRY, GlobalLogic, iGATE, Orange Switzerland, Sophos, SMART Technologies, Weather Investments, Tim Hellas and Promethean. Prior to joining Apax Partners, Salim was an Engagement Manager with McKinsey & Company where he specialised in advising clients in the telecom sector. Salim holds an MBA from INSEAD and an MA in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge.
Dr. Anita Sands (Non-Executive Director)
Anita Sands is a U.S. based board-director, author, and speaker. A former Fulbright Scholar, she
holds a Masters in Public Policy and Management as well as a Ph.D. in Atomic and Molecular
Physics. Anita spent a decade in leadership positions in financial services in Canada and the U.S.
specializing in innovation and enterprise transformation. She then pivoted into the tech industry
where she serves on the boards of two public companies— ServiceNow and Pure Storage—and
private companies ThoughtWorks and AppBus. Described as a ‘force of nature’ with unique perspectives, Anita is also a vocal advocate for diversity and inclusion and has been honored on many occasions for her contribution to business and social challenges. As a speaker, Anita is renowned internationally for engaging audiences with her thoughtful, witty and practical insights on the implications of three major trends:
• Technology’s influence on companies and society
• Gender equality and the power of Belonging
• The Future of Work and leadership in the digital age
Hailing originally from Ireland, Anita splits her time between San Francisco, New York, and Dublin.
William G. Parrett (Non-Executive Director)
Mr. Parrett is a former Senior Partner of Deloitte & Touche USA LLP, a public accounting firm. Mr. Parrett retired in 2007. From 2003 to 2007, he served as the Chief Executive Officer of Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu (DTT). Prior to serving as Chief Executive Officer of DTT, he was Managing Partner of Deloitte & Touche USA since 1999. Mr. Parrett joined Deloitte in 1967 and served in a series of roles of increasing responsibility. Mr. Parrett currently serves as a director of The Blackstone Group L.P., an investment and advisory firm; Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., a provider of analytical and laboratory instruments and products; Conduent Corporation, a business process services company. Additionally, Mr. Parrett is Past Chairman of United Way of America and of the United States Council for International Business.
Jane Chwick (Non-Executive Director)
Ms. Chwick was a partner at Goldman Sachs where she had a 30-year career in technology, most recently as Co-Chief Operating Officer of the technology division. In this role, she was responsible for financial and business planning, setting the technical strategy and management of an 8,000-person organization within the firm. Ms. Chwick was also the Co-founder and Co-CEO of Trewtec, Inc., providing Corporate Directors, CEOs and Chief Technology Officers with vital information they need to improve their oversight of a company's technology function. Ms. Chwick currently serves as a director of Voya Financial, a financial, retirement, investment and insurance company; People’s United Bank, the largest regional bank Headquartered in New England; and MarketAxess, the leading fixed income electronic trading platform for institutional investors and dealers.
Rohan Haldea (Apax)
Rohan Haldea is a Partner in the Tech & Telco team. Rohan joined Apax in 2007 and is based in the London office. He has both led and participated in a number of key deals including Fractal Analytics, ThoughtWorks, Grupo Engineering, EVRY, GlobalLogic, iGATE, Tivit S.A., NXP and Orange Switzerland. Rohan currently serves as a Director on the Boards of Fractal Analytics, ThoughtWorks, and EVRY. He also serves as co-CEO of the Apax Foundation and as a Trustee of Impetus. Prior to joining Apax Partners, Rohan worked at Bain Capital in New York, where he focused on the Industrial, Distribution and Retail sectors. Prior to that, Rohan was a consultant at McKinsey. Rohan holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor of Technology from the Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi.
Nishant Nayyar (Apax)
Nishant Nayyar is a Principal in the Tech & Telcom team. He has been involved in a number of key deals in the Tech and Telecom / Business Services space including Inmarsat (2019), ThoughtWorks, iGATE / Patni, Orange Switzerland, Garda and GlobalLogic. Prior to that, he led the Apax Capital Markets team's European efforts for three years. In addition, Nishant has been involved with Ascential, Sisal, Travelex and Takko at the portfolio company level. Prior to joining Apax Partners, Nishant worked at Warburg Pincus, a global private equity firm, on a wide variety of transactions across industry groups. Before his time at Warburg, he worked with Bain & Co. and Goldman Sachs in New York. Nishant has a BA from Williams College in Politics and Economics, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. He also serves as a trustee of Breaking Barriers, a refugee focused charity supported by the Apax Foundation.
Jesús Rueda (Apax)
Jesús Rueda is a Vice President in the Tech & Telco team. He joined Apax Partners in 2015 and is currently based in London. Jesús has been involved in key deals including Inmarsat (2019), Grupo Engineering, Syneron Candela, ThoughtWorks and Trade Me. Prior to joining Apax Partners, Jesús was a business analyst at McKinsey & Company in their Madrid office, where he focused on Corporate Finance and Strategy across a variety of industries. Jesús holds an MBA from Columbia Business School (with honors) and an MSc in Industrial Engineering from Universidad Politecnica de Madrid (summa cum laude).
