Employer Brand / Recruitment Marketing (Senior Associate)

Behind every Thoughtworker story and recruitment marketing campaign, is the Employer Brand and Recruitment Marketing Center Lead. As a talent-minded member of Thoughtworks’ marketing organization and our Global Employer Brand and Recruitment Marketing team you are a regional champion of our employer brand and recruitment marketing strategy, positioning Thoughtworks as the tech employer of choice. 

Ultimately, your efforts will impact business growth, help foster a vibrant community of diverse and passionate technologists and nurture a steady stream of qualified candidates who are destined to be Thoughtworkers.

This role requires a collaborative mindset as you stay close to the priorities of the business and provide a hands-on approach to effectively execute and adapt multi-channel marketing campaigns and programs that are simultaneously globally-aligned and regionally-relevant.

You’ll report to the Regional Employer Brand and Recruitment Marketing Lead - Americas and work collaboratively with your center lead counterparts around the globe, while contributing to global program efforts across the candidate and employee experience.

Job responsibilities

  • Employer brand:
    • Partner with Regional Employer Brand and Recruitment Marketing Lead to develop and localize strategic initiatives and campaigns, taking a multi-channel approach to position Thoughtworks as an employer of choice,
    • Drive Thoughtworks’ employer brand and partner with regional and local functional leaders to establish consistency with the brand locally.
    • Execute our employer brand and recruitment marketing strategy through various channels: online, in-person, organic and paid.
    • Pursue awards and recognition opportunities that will increase Thoughtworks’ brand awareness and positioning as the top tech employer of choice.
  • Recruitment marketing and candidate experience:
    • Develop and execute creative and effective recruitment marketing campaigns that align with our employer brand and resonate with target candidate segments and build regional candidate pipelines.
    • Ensure consistent application and use of our campaign visual identity, messaging, assets and guidance for candidate facing materials and engagements.
    • Contribute to and localize candidate personas to tailor skills-specific messaging, assets and content for various candidate segments.
    • Engage and cultivate potential candidates through our email nurture campaign and demonstrate progress through reporting analysis and optimization.
  • Recruiter enablement:
    • Provide regional recruiters and sourcing partners with impactful messaging, relevant content and guidance to create a more enriching candidate experience.
    • Inform and educate regional recruiting and people teams on our Employer Value Proposition (EVP), annual Employer Brand and Recruitment Marketing plan priorities, processes and best practices.
    • Be a trusted partner for recruiting teams facilitating the timely delivery of on-brand assets and messagings.
  • Engagement and events:
    • Partner with global and local internal social media, recruiting and legal teams to engage with candidates on social media and other platforms, responding to inquiries and providing relevant information.
    • Review and respond to reviews on third-party profile sites such as Glassdoor and/or local equivalents.
    • Help conceptualize and execute regional employer brand events, workshops and engagement activities to foster meaningful connections with candidates and communities.
    • Manage local marketing implementation and stakeholder integration of global candidate/practitioner event programs such as XConf, a Thoughtworks owned event for technologists.
    • Partner with our global team to help bring our alumni together by focusing on community and program development.
  • Content creation:
    • Partner with internal teams and stakeholders to produce compelling and authentic content that reflects our company culture, values and career opportunities; channels include blogs, videos, social media and more.
    • Build rapport with local Thoughtworkers and employee groups to mine, develop and share employee experience stories across platforms through integrated marketing and recruitment campaigns.
  • Employer brand advocacy:
    • Ensure Thoughtworkers feel empowered to be brand advocates, encouraging them to share their positive work experiences and company news across social media and other platforms.
  • Internal collaboration:
    • Work with cross-functional teams, such as local and regional marketing, recruiting, people, L&D, internal communications to bring our EVP to life across important employee milestones and experiences (onboarding, training, total rewards, events) and ensure alignment of cross-functional messaging and initiatives.
  • External partnerships:
    • In conjunction with recruiting, DEI, L&D and tech teams build relationships with educational institutions, community organizations and/or industry influencers to amplify our presence with the talent market.
  • Metrics and analytics:
    • Apply data-driven insights to measure the impact of campaigns and initiatives to recommend and implement informed adjustments to strategies.
    • Leverage short- and long-term insights to positively influence the candidate journey and enable further investment for ongoing campaign development.
    • Use overall program measurements to showcase how we are impacting hire influence and diversity.

Job qualifications

Technical Skills

  • Advanced English.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in marketing, communications, human resources or related field.
  • Strong integrated marketing experience, preferably from a fast-paced tech company.
  • Experience within Employer Brand or Recruitment Marketing.

Professional Skills

  • Readiness to learn from and collaborate with recruiting, marketing and other functional teams while sharing learnings and best practices.
  • Integrated marketing mindset to ensure a consistent, impactful message is delivered to the right audience – candidates, employees, alums – at the right time.
  • Experience launching social media campaigns and have created and marketed digital content across a variety of media to drive awareness, consideration and conversion (and you enjoy reporting on it, too).
  • Collaborative team member but also comfortable running solo when needed. 
  • Operating between strategy and execution is where you shine: You don’t shy away from rolling up your sleeves to get things done.
  • Knack for prioritization, obtaining stakeholder buy-in, embracing opportunities and resolving conflicts as they arise. 
  • Thrive in a collaborative and non-hierarchical environment and are nimble in ambiguous situations.
  • Proficient communicator – comfortable with presenting ideas, telling stories and managing feedback as well as possessing excellent stakeholder management skills is critical in this role.
