Tax Specialist (Associate / Analista Pleno)

The Tax Specialist (Associate) will be part of the Global Tax Team and will be primarily involved in the preparation of various forms of tax compliance as related to Thoughtworks and its subsidiaries, including accounting for income taxes. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified candidate seeking to develop overall corporate tax experience.

Job responsibilities

Preparation of US federal, state, and local income, franchise, sales and use, and property tax returns.
Assist in preparation of annual and quarterly tax provision calculations.
Preparation and filing of annual licenses/reports.
Maintenance of state and local registrations.
Preparation of tax projections and analysis through data accumulation and summarization projects.
Assistance in tax planning initiatives via various research projects.

Job qualifications

Technical Skills

Advanced English is required since you will be part of a global team.
Bachelor's degree in accounting or similar background required; CPA preferred.
Corporate taxation experience strongly preferred.
Advanced Excel capabilities.
Proficiency in corporate tax compliance software, Thomson Reuters OneSource preferred.

Professional Skills

Strong organizational and communication skills.
Willingness and enthusiasm for team-oriented work as well as continuous learning and personal growth within the organization.
