The global internal communications associate works closely with the global internal comms team to support the execution of internal communication campaigns and manage the end to end production of the weekly newsletter. You will also provide ad hoc support to regional IC teams on projects to further your knowledge of the business.
You will report into the Principal, Global Internal Communications, and be a core member of the global internal communications team which is part of the wider corporate brand and communications team.
Job responsibilities
Newsletter
- End-to-end management of Midweek Messenger, the weekly company-wide newsletter. Including:
- Sourcing stories;
- Curating submissions from stakeholders;
- Editing to ensure they are in our tone of voice;
- Uploading to the internal comms platform;
- Creating the newsletter and prioritizing the relevant articles;
- Managing the schedule of global distribution;
- Regular analysis of the analytics;
- Suggesting ideas on how we can improve the newsletter.
Internal Communications (IC) team support
- Management of IC calendar - drawing attention to any date or project conflicts
- Management of IC analytics - for the newsletter and for other projects the team is responsible for
- Team liaison for requests to the design and multimedia team and provider of best practice guidance
- Curation of internal files and folders - ensure the entire IC team is adhering to the processes implemented
Logistics
- Attend weekly global internal communications calls with the global IC team and arrange regular catch ups with other team members as required.
- As appropriate, participate in regular sessions with regional or functional stakeholders to discuss an appropriate approach to comms in the region.
- Participate in key marketing functional and regional stakeholder meetings as well as all Marketing & communications town halls.
Job qualifications
Technical Skills
- Fluent in both spoken and written English.
- Internal comms professional, ideally with experience in a technology environment.
- The ability to connect with a diverse audience from senior technologists to new Gen Z entrants.
- The ability to curate content from various internal sources, to tell a coherent story.
- Familiarity with video, content and social networking platforms to replicate those usage patterns locally.
- Hands-on experience creating multimedia assets like podcasts and video would be a bonus.
Professional Skills
- Exceptional written, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Enthusiastic with strong organizational skills, use of own initiative and the ability to execute and coordinate multiple work streams in parallel.
