In a nutshell, Sameer’s passions lie in building a diversified, vibrant talent force, inspiring ThoughtWorks’ next generation of leadership and constantly creating avenues to upgrade the organization’s capability.

Sameer has over 2 decades of experience and his time at ThoughtWorks has seen him play key roles in crafting the company’s innovative approach that delivers custom software solutions to global enterprises. In his current role as Managing Director for ThoughtWorks India, he collaborates with ThoughtWorks’ different business groups to develop advanced models of business transformation for clients.

Sameer’s strong experience in both, engineering and management, ensures his proficient managerial skills coming into strong play whether it’s Technology Management, Talent Management, Program/Project Management, Product Delivery or Operations Management.

The MD’s consultative experience in both business and technical capacities, while immersed in various functional domains ensures that he is able to provide valuable mentoring for entrepreneurs when it comes to growth strategy planning. Additionally, Sameer holds many leadership positions, including President of the Software Exporters Association of Pune (SEAP) and EC member of MCCI.

Sameer, a firm believer in the value created by customer-centric technology solutions, spent a considerable part of his career at Amdocs and Tech Mahindra driving many large scale business transformation projects. He led these projects through rigorous governance and proactive risk management, towards enhanced value for clients.

When it comes to unwinding, he spends his free time riding and collecting bikes and indulging in non-fiction literature - mainly business reads. His moments of peace and tranquility are sought at the tops of the mountains he has scaled, like the Himalayas for one.

Education

Sameer acquired his Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Mumbai.
