I am a Senior Consultant at ThoughtWorks. I joined the Barcelona office in the early days, at the end of 2016.
I studied Computer Science and got my Bachelor Degree in 2015 in my hometown Timisoara, Romania.
I started my career as a Software Engineer in 2013. Before ThoughtWorks I worked in different domains like e-commerce, educational software, intralogistics systems for warehouses and now I am working towards delivering the best quality and real value to ThoughtWorks clients.
As part of different communities in Barcelona like Women Techmakers Barcelona, I continuously advocate for diversity and inclusion in the IT industry.
I also started my speaker journey 2 years ago, in meetups and conferences, focused on extreme programming and agile practices.
I came to find ThoughtWorks by
My answer to this question is pretty simple: Martin Fowler. When I was in university I came across his books. I started doing a little digging into the company he was in and soon I realised that this is the type of company I would like to work for in the future.
One night, while I was navigating across opportunities abroad, I saw ThoughtWorks is opening an office in Barcelona. Right there on the spot, I applied. 1 month later I was here.
The best advice I can give a current or future ThoughtWorker is
Get out of your comfort zone! Embrace challenges! I think this is the key to success in ThoughtWorks.
The thing I love most about my work is
The people. People that support and challenge me continuously and from whom I learn every day.
