FluxMarkdown is a macOS QuickLook plugin that renders Markdown files directly in the Finder preview panel. While other options like QLMarkdown exist, FluxMarkdown offers comprehensive support for syntax highlighting, mathematical notations via KaTeX and complex diagrams using Mermaid, Graphviz and Vega.
We've found FluxMarkdown useful for inspecting documentation because it eliminates the need to open a dedicated editor just to view a rendered diagram or equation. As developers increasingly rely on command-line interfaces and autonomous agents in their workflows, viewing rendered Markdown files can still require opening an IDE. FluxMarkdown provides a lightweight alternative that lets developers preview these files without leaving Finder.
