Be a lifelong learner

We encourage continuous learning among our employees and offer Thoughtworks University (TWU) courses for fresh graduates. Through the “Chengfeng Plan,” we provide employees with the opportunity to transfer jobs and work overseas to experience life in other Thoughtworks countries. In addition, we offer all employees unlimited access to online learning via Udemy and an annual personal development budget for training programs, conferences, books and more to keep you up to date with the latest tech trends and industry knowledge.

Flexible work arrangements

We understand that, now, more than ever, people have different needs in working models and flexible locations. Thoughtworks Chile offers the option to choose between a hybrid location model (office and home) and a work-from-home model. *We are currently all working from home until further notice.

We care for the health of our Thoughtworkers and offer a number of programs and benefits to support this.

Health, dental and life insurance
  • Medical and life insurance are covered 100%

  • Complementary health insurance 

  • Dental insurance

  • Possibility of incorporating immediate family members in which case Thoughtworks covers the cost

Maternity and paternity leave
  • For mothers, Thoughtworks covers the amount that the health care institution's maternity allowance does not cover.
  • For fathers, Thoughtworks provides 20 working days in addition to the statutory 5, fully paid. 
Childcare assistance

Daycare benefits are provided for children up to three years 11 months of age.

Sabbatical Leave

Upon completing ten years at Thoughtworks, an employee is entitled to 12 weeks of paid leave. For every additional five years with the company, they are entitled to six weeks of paid leave.

PAT, Programa de Apoyo al Thoughtworker

Package of hours of psychological counseling with a specialist Psychotherapist, which is handled under strict confidentiality standards.

Medical leave

Medical leave coverage for a maximum of 3 days, one per month and with a maximum of three leaves per year.

 

Travel insurance

We provide travel insurance through Assist Card for any time you may need to leave the country for work reasons. 

 

Perks

Internet, mobilization and food allowance

We provide a monthly allowance to help cover costs for internet, mobilization and food so that you can effectively work from home.

Home office equipment allowance

To help make your home office set up a comfortable one, we provide an allowance during your first month with Thoughtworks to equip your home workstation.

Referral bonus

Thoughtworkers know great people and bonus payments are rewarded for each hired referral.

 

Celebration allowance

Bonus for Christmas and Chile’s Independence Day so you can celebrate with family and friends.

Laptop buyback

Employees have the option to buy a laptop at a discount after the "end of life" period
