Be a lifelong learner

We encourage continuous learning among our employees and offer Thoughtworks University (TWU) courses for fresh graduates. Through the “Chengfeng Plan,” we provide employees with the opportunity to transfer jobs and work overseas to experience life in other Thoughtworks countries. In addition, we offer all employees unlimited access to online learning via Udemy and an annual personal development budget for training programs, conferences, books and more to keep you up to date with the latest tech trends and industry knowledge.

Flexible work arrangements

We understand that, now, more than ever, people have different needs in working models and flexible locations. Thoughtworks Chile offers the option to choose between a hybrid location model (office and home) and a work-from-home model. *We are currently all working from home until further notice.

Sabbatical

Upon reaching ten years at Thoughtworks, you are entitled to 12 weeks of paid leave. For every additional five years at the company, you are entitled to six weeks of paid leave.

Travel insurance

We provide travel insurance every time you travel abroad for work purposes.

English classes

We offer various levels to help our people improve in the language at no cost. They can enroll in group English classes tailored to our business needs.

Onboarding buddy

We assign someone to accompany you as a "Buddy" during your first 3 months at Thoughtworks. They will guide you during this time to convey our culture, introduce you to our tools, and make your induction process the best possible.

Notebook acquisition

At Thoughtworks, after the "end of life" period of the assigned equipment, individuals can choose to purchase a computer at a discount.

Referral bonus

At Thoughtworks, we value our team's recommendations and offer bonuses for each referral that gets hired. (Exception: Rehires).

Fixed monthly bonuses

AWe provide a monthly allowance to help cover internet, transportation, and food expenses so you can work effectively from home.

Celebration bonuses

Remote work bonus

To help set up your home office comfortably, we provide a bonus during your first month with Thoughtworks to equip your home workstation.

Quality of life


This includes a range of wage and non-wage benefits intended to positively impact the quality of life of Thoughtworkers, focusing on 3 main dimensions.

Well-being and work/life balance
  • Thank You Time: We offer 24 hours a year to take time off for personal, recreational, rest, or leisure activities. We care about the mental and physical well-being of individuals.
 
  • Birthday day off: 1 day off to celebrate your birthday. You can take any working day of the week within your birthday month.
 
  • Vacations: 15 vacation days a year (excluding weekends and holidays as indicated by Chilean labor law). For new hires from the 3rd month onward, proportional vacation days can be advanced. As an additional benefit, we can convert Progressive Vacations into money, as long as legal requirements are met.
 
  • Graduation day: 1 day off to attend a University/Master's Graduation Ceremony or certificate presentation.
 
  • Moving day: 1 day off to organize any necessary arrangements for moving house.
 
  • Thoughtworker support program: We offer 5 psychological counseling sessions a year with specialized psychotherapists, managed under strict confidentiality guidelines.
Complementary health insurance
  • Medical insurance: Medical, dental, and life coverage at no cost for the Thoughtworker.
 
  • Legal dependents: Addition of legal dependents to the insurance.
 
  • Medical leaves: At Thoughtworks Chile, we offer the benefit of covering the difference in the disability subsidy for up to 30 days a year. Additionally, we offer up to 3 days a year for medical leave.

 

Family care
  • Nursery room and associated bonus: We offer a nursery agreement for mothers, allowing their children to attend up to 2 years old. From 2 years and 1 month to 3 years and 11 months, we offer a nursery bonus for both mothers and fathers.
 
  • Paternity leave: Thoughtworks provides 20 additional paid working days beyond the 5 days mandated by law for fathers.
 
  • Benefit for mothers: For mothers, Thoughtworks tops up any amount not covered by the maternity subsidy from the health institution during the pre and postnatal parental period.
