Together with Gabriel Notari I'm responsible for running ThoughtWorks in Spain. This is the 4th time I 'pair' with a ThoughtWorker in a leadership role after Melbourne & Perth and Singapore and I really enjoy working in this way. I'm very excited about growing our relationships in Spain and working closely with our clients.
My career started with IBM in the Netherlands and in 2008 I joined ThoughtWorks in Melbourne, Australia. I've had the privilege to work with clients in the Netherlands, Australia, Singapore, Latin America and Spain. What strikes me is that people no matter the cultural differences are humans with many similarities in particular regarding trust.
I'm passionate about what makes teams and organisations tick and be successful, modern leadership styles and improving ways of working.
I came to find ThoughtWorks by
accident in Melbourne, Australia in 2008. In those days Agile was not so well known and as ThoughtWorkers explained it to me it made a lot of sense. I had to explain Agile in my early days in ThoughtWorks. How the world has changed since then!
The thing I love most about my work is
the variety of people I get to meet and the things they are trying to achieve and how ThoughtWorks can help them with this. Clients keep me on my toes, always!
If I could fix one of the world's problems, I'd put my powers to use on behalf of
peace everywhere. We are all humans with more similarities than differences. By now we should be able to live peacefully together and respect each other.
With ThoughtWorks, I've visited
Australia, Brazil, Chile, China, Ecuador, Germany, India, Italy, Singapore, Spain, UK, US
