Vercel AI SDK is an open-source, full-stack toolkit for building AI-powered applications and agents in the TypeScript ecosystem. It consists of two main components: AI SDK Core standardizes model-agnostic LLM calls, supporting text generation, structured object generation and tool calling; AI SDK UI simplifies front-end development with streaming, state management and real-time UI updates in React, Vue, Next.js and Svelte, similar to assistant-ui.
