An enterprise harness An enterprise harness is the organization-wide layer of what coding agents consume managed collectively. It includes skills, tools, connectors to internal context, approved technologies, architecture decision records, path-to-production guidance, hooks and security policies. We observe that as multiple teams in an organization adopt coding agents, they need common context to complement each team's curated shared instructions. It's like a developer experience platform, but for agent experience. We've seen organizations go as far as building a custom coding agent on top of OpenCode, but we recommend sharing assets through open standards and distributing them via an agent plugin marketplace. There's no consensus yet on how to do this well, so keep the enterprise harness thin and federated, leave room for experimentation and harvest what works.
