Dave Whalley

Chief Information Officer

I joined ThoughtWorks in 2003 as a Project Manager in the London office. Since then I've had the opportunity to be in charge of client delivery in UK, client delivery globally and then Chief Operating Officer. For the last few years I have been Chief Information Officer looking after all of our internal IT. As you can imagine, having that responsibility in a company full of software delivery professionals is an interesting challenge!

The Interview

With ThoughtWorks, I've visited

more countries and cities than I can remember.

The thing I love most about my work is

No two days are ever the same, or in the same location!

The best advice I can give a current or future ThoughtWorker is

If you are lucky enough to join, seize the moment. You have such freedom of action here. Take that opportunity and try something new.

I came to find ThoughtWorks by

happenstance, but then most of the good things in life arrive that way.
