Thoughtworks Bets on Young Talent as Driving Force Behind Tech Innovation in Latin America

Thoughtworks Bets on Young Talent as Driving Force Behind Tech Innovation in Latin America

Thoughtworks, a global technology consultancy that integrates strategy, design, and engineering, participated for the first time in the fourth edition of Employers for Youth (EFY) Ecuador 2023, a study aimed at assessing the perception of young employees aged 18 to 35 with the goal of identifying the best companies for emerging professionals.

This analysis takes into account 10 key dimensions to evaluate participating companies: recognition, work environment, talent, reputation, innovation, infrastructure, diversity and culture, quality of life, career development and benefits.

In this edition, our office in Ecuador performed exceptionally well, ranking within the top 15 of the best companies for young professionals in the general category. Furthermore, in the category of technology companies, it achieved sixth place.

Within our office, 55% of employees fall within the specified age range, with 36% in the 18 to 29 age group and more than half in the 30 to 35 age group. The survey results reflect that our employees particularly value work experience, the work environment, quality of life, diversity and culture, reputation and innovation.

The choice to work at Thoughtworks is largely based on the opportunity for learning and development offered to each individual within the organization, supported by a highly skilled team that guides individuals in their career and professional growth. The hybrid work model allows for a balance between work and personal life, which is highly valued.

William Alban, People Lead, Thoughtworks Ecuador stated: "This recognition reflects Thoughtworks' commitment to its efforts in creating engaging and inclusive workspaces that enable our people to thrive in an environment where they have good work-life balance, are recognized and live in a culture of innovation that values their ideas."

Furthermore, the benefits offered are a fundamental pillar of our value proposition. Thoughtworks provides both salary and non-salary benefits designed to enhance the quality of life of Thoughtworkers, focusing on four main dimensions: bonuses and monetary incentives, well-being and work-life balance, family support, and life and health insurance.

These same attributes are the reason why our employees actively recommend Thoughtworks to their acquaintances. Thoughtworks firmly believes in the potential of young Ecuadorian talent to drive technological innovation, with the commitment to continue providing a high-quality environment and benefits that improve the lives of all individuals.
