Semantic review of AI-edited prose

Assess ?

Coding agents produce and revise prose artifacts such as specifications, ADRs and plans far faster than humans can review them. Text diffs bury intent under rewording and formatting noise, making it hard to see whether a plan has changed significantly. Semantic review of AI-edited prose adds a layer on top of the text diff: an LLM analyzes changes in meaning, such as altered facts, conflicting statements, redefined acceptance criteria and changes in scope. Much like automated PR review but for prose, it can be implemented as an agent skill that runs whenever a coding agent edits a document. We’ve seen Thoughtworks teams use this technique to reduce cognitive load and review fatigue, helping reviewers better understand changes to planned work before implementation.
