AWS re:Invent | Nov 30 - Dec 4 | Las Vegas

You don’t win tomorrow’s race with yesterday’s engine.

AI is built for what’s next. Most enterprise technology was built for what was.

Seventy percent of Fortune 500 legacy software is more than 20 years old, while the same share of enterprise workloads still run on premises. That’s a lot of AI ambition riding on yesterday’s engine.

Our work with AWS is growing fast. So is what we’re building together. At re:Invent, we’re bringing two new plays: modernize what holds you back and build what puts you ahead.

Where you can find us at AWS re:Invent

Parked at booth #1940.

Start here. See the plays. Meet the people.

Leave legacy in the dust.

Beyond the guardrail: Mechanistic interpretability for agents that act

While enterprises govern agentic AI via permissions and sandboxing, few build governance into models themselves. This session by Thoughtworks Chief Data and AI Officer Shayan Mohanty examines a live production system, Bayer's PRINCE research assistant, built with Thoughtworks on AWS to give researchers access to over 18,000 preclinical study reports.

We will share what Thoughtworks' AI Research Labs discovered when applying mechanistic interpretability techniques (published at ICML, NeurIPS, and AAAI) to understand why the assistant answers, cites, or refuses queries.

Attendees will leave with a practical framework for treating interpretability as a core governance component before deploying your next agent.

Timing: Wednesday December 2, 2026 at 11:00am

Location: Lightning Theater in the Venetian Expo | AWS for Industries

Lose the legacy. Gain the advantage.

Two new plays from Thoughtworks and AWS. Your move.

Play 1: Modernize what holds you back with AI/works™ and AWS Transform

Legacy mainframe, .NET and bespoke applications add friction to everything you build next. Thoughtworks AI/works™ and AWS Transform help you understand, refactor and modernize them; incrementally and without putting progress on hold.

For: CIOs, CTOs and technology leaders driving modernization

Play 2: Build what puts you ahead with AWS Agentic Catalyst and 3/3/3

Agentic ideas shouldn’t need a year to prove their value. The AWS Agentic Catalyst Program and Thoughtworks’ 3/3/3 method take you from idea to prototype and costed business case in days, then into production as a minimum lovable product.

For: Leaders and builders across product, innovation, AI and engineering.

Shift into Happy Hour

Trade the conference floor for premium cocktails, passed hors d’oeuvres and a retro arcade at the TAO Opium Room at The Venetian.

Space is limited. Your evening doesn’t have to be.

Date: December 1, 2026

Time: 6:00pm to 8:00pm

Three minutes. Two races. One goal: leave legacy in the rearview.

Take the controls at Booth #1940 and put our plays (and your skills) to the test. Race the clock, climb the leaderboard and meet the people building the real-world solutions behind the game.

Recognized by AWS for delivering impact

In 2025 Thoughtworks was recognized as the AWS global partner of the year for data and analytics. This award celebrates the teams turning complex, fragmented data into the governed foundation that makes AI ready to act for clients worldwide.

It's proof of what this partnership does every day, translating data strategy into measurable business outcomes at enterprise scale.

Some problems deserve more than a booth chat

Want to go deeper than a booth conversation? Book time with our Thoughtworks and AWS team at re:Invent to talk modernization, agentic AI or whatever is standing between you and what’s next.
