Philipp Emslander

After completing my studies of information science in Münster at the end of 2001, I started my career as a management consultant for one of the Big 4. Soon, I discovered my passion for understanding complex systems and organizations — and enabling the clients and the people working in these organizations to get to the next level. Projects included large digital transformation programs, short but impactful strategy projects and the implementation of new delivery and sourcing models. Key for these projects has always been the focus on what really creates value — and what is a good, realistic option to move forward. This perfectly blends with the Thoughtworks ways of working and our ability to blend technology excellence with an agile, value-driven approach.

In my life outside of Zoom meetings and client projects, I spend a lot of my time with my family — the three kids are keeping us quite busy. I am always curious to discover great wine and I am documenting these discoveries (or failures) a small wine blog and organizing wine tasting events for my family. Since I saw Michael Jordan play in the early nineties, I have been a great basketball fan — at the moment following the golden state warriors on their journey since 2013.
