An agent plugin marketplace is a means of distributing harness assets across an organization. The need arises when multiple teams adopt coding agents and want to share skills, instructions, MCP servers, subagent definitions and other assets. Copying these between repos provides no easy way to publish, discover or update them. We've implemented an agent plugin marketplace using documented Git repositories, with plugins in the Agent Plugins format that coding agents consume directly or that are managed as dependencies with Agent Package Manager. Anthropic popularized the pattern with its Claude Code plugin marketplace, and hosted registries such as Tessl's and community collections like wshobson/agents have adopted the idea. We see agent plugin marketplaces as a practical way to make your enterprise harness available across the organization.
