Thoughtworks is continuing to expand its presence in Germany.

The global IT consultancy, Thoughtworks, is continuing to grow in Germany. Based in Chicago (USA), the company now also has an office in Munich. Six members of staff currently work in the new office in the district of Haidhausen, and the team is set to expand to 40 employees by the end of this year. The first customers served by the office include AutoScout24, the online marketplace for cars. Thoughtworks, a team of experts that develops its own software and a community of software designers, strategists and industry experts who accomplish complex challenges, already has branches in Hamburg, Cologne and Berlin.

Moreover, Thoughtworks is continuing to expand its sales team in Germany. The team welcomes Marc Kuri, who is starting his role as Client Principal in Munich. Kuri previously worked in project management for the agency, intive Kupferwerk. He is specialized in supporting companies through the current volatility surrounding the topic of digitalization.

Marcus Klein is stepping on board as Retail Principal in Cologne, where he will assist companies with digital transformation. He previously held a number of IT positions at Metro Cash & Carry and played a key role in advancing the digital transformation program.

Sylvia Lohr joined as Head of Marketing for Thoughtworks Germany. She has over 20 years of sales and marketing experience in an IT and consultancy environment. She has been committed to recruiting marketing, digital communication and implementing holistic marketing strategies since the early days.

“We are delighted that a growing number of companies in Germany are placing their trust in us for their complex IT projects as part of their digital transformation process,” says Dr Peter Buhrmann, Managing Director of Thoughtworks Germany. “We are now consolidating proximity with our customers in southern Germany with our new office in Munich. Our consultants often support our customers at their business premises. Our teams are now present in four major German cities. This puts us in an excellent position to support many customer projects at different locations simultaneously.”

Following the Thoughtworks culture, all the employees in Munich were involved in selecting and equipping the office, including the furnishings and the installation of various working resources.

Twice a year, the company publishes the Technology Radar, covering the latest trends related to software development and business strategy.
