Interactive visual plans with agents are self-contained HTML or MDX plans with diagrams, user flows and wireframes that teams can explore before implementation. Our teams find that stepping through these artifacts makes it easier to verify intent and review complex changes than reading long text plans. Our teams warn against using this technique for "big upfront designs" and favor a more iterative approach, breaking work into smaller, verifiable steps to build understanding along the way. The same approach can provide a visual recap of completed work, but our teams find recaps most useful when the implementation deviates from the original plan. We recommend using interactive visual plans with agents to build shared understanding and establish a human review point before agents implement changes.
