Thoughtworks, a global technology consultancy that integrates strategy, design and engineering to drive digital innovation, today announced that Chief Transformation Officer Ange Ferguson, has been named the winner in the Executive Leader category at this year’s B&T Women Leading Tech Awards.
The prestigious Executive Leader honor recognizes Ange Ferguson for her disruptive work at Thoughtworks over the past 15 years, contributing to strategic initiatives across Asia Pacific, establishing a diverse culture and embodying exemplary c-suite leadership. Other category finalists included Julie Canepa, Chief Information Officer at Cisco ANZ and Amie Scruton, Chief Financial Officer and Business Intelligence Strategist at Art Processors, among other industry leaders.

However, there’s more work to be done in fostering a more diverse and ethical future for technology, and it is imperative that now - more than ever – that we break down barriers and tap into the abundant talent and capabilities the industry so desperately needs.”
Ange is committed to working towards equality and inclusivity at Thoughtworks and was instrumental in achieving a 50% female workforce at Thoughtworks Australia while she was managing director. She has contributed to the establishment of Thoughtworks’ flagship First Nations Delivery Centre, and her passion has led her to a position on the advisory board of Hitnet, a program focused on breaking down barriers to provide connection, access and information to communities who are digitally excluded.

The winners were announced at an awards night held in Sydney on 28 April to celebrate the talent and leadership of Australian women in technology.
The 2022 Women Leading Tech Awards acknowledged four Thoughtworks representatives for the first time, across a range of roles. Effy Elden, Harmeet Sokhi and Yihan Lin were among the other finalists in categories of Engineering, Data Science and Design respectively.
