Technology and innovation transcends borders. As a global technology consultancy with social and economic justice at our very core, Thoughtworks passionately advocates for inclusivity and tolerance. Collaboration and embracing diverse ideas are hallmarks of a free society and the bedrock for what propels humanity forward.
Today, for our more than 4,000 technologists who hail from countries across the globe and all walks of life, the impact of the recent Executive Order related to immigration creates uncertainty and contempt for US policy toward foreigners. This stands in stark contrast to last year’s executive action (DAPA and DACA), drafted to protect millions of undocumented workers against deportation, which Thoughtworks supported through the signing of an Amicus brief.
As CEO, I have been fortunate to witness first-hand the collective power of global teams working towards empowering ambitious commercial and societal missions. It is in this spirit of cooperation that we at Thoughtworks reaffirm our commitment to empower people through technology and push back against fear and discrimination in all forms. Although we are proud of our accomplishments supporting movements around the world, there is more work to do and we will continue to raise our collective voice, advocating for positive social change.
