XConf APAC | Singapore

by technologists, for technologists

For over a decade, XConf has been our flagship event for technologists, by technologists. With a focus on high-quality topics, XConf offers a unique opportunity to explore bold ideas, challenge yourself with fresh perspectives and connect with like-minded technologists.

At XConf Singapore 2026, close to 200 technologists came together to explore the real-world challenges and opportunities of building and working with AI.

Across 9 sessions, 13 speakers shared practical insights on topics ranging from AI-assisted coding and testing and multi-agent systems to incident response, product design, and the teams and infrastructure needed to scale AI.

The AI native squad: How small teams deliver faster with AI

AI is changing software delivery, but the real breakthrough comes when teams redesign delivery around AI-native squads. In this talk, Jessie and Siyuan share how small, high-transparency teams can deliver business outcomes faster. Through real delivery examples, they will show how team structure, ceremonies, and daily workflows change when AI becomes a shared team capability.

AI is a scout, not an engineer

After 26 months building a distributed database in Rust with AI assistance, Tyson encountered three near-misses where code passed tests and benchmarks but risked corrupting production data. Through these experiences and the research behind them, he introduces Human Replay, a method for keeping critical engineering understanding in human hands while using AI where it belongs.

First Responder: Agentic incident triage

Production incidents are costly, chaotic, and deeply manual. Agentic AI changes that. In this talk, Vijay presents a live demo of First Responder, an agentic system that investigates production incidents end-to-end. Starting from an alert, automatic triaging and closes the loop with automated fix generation and pull request creation, with engineers staying in control throughout.

[Keynote] Different clocks: Why execution speed is a strategic choice

Over the past 18 months, MYOB built an AI product capability from the ground up: New teams, new platforms, new operating rhythms, and a growing portfolio of customer-facing AI products. The most important decisions weren’t technical. They were strategic.

This talk explores how MYOB matched the pace of decisions to the pace of change: When to hack around legacy systems, standardize or stay flexible, build or buy, reshape teams, and prioritize learning over shipping. The goal isn’t simply to move faster, but to know what deserves to move fast — and what deserves time to compound.

AI moves fast, but not every decision should.
