IT departments are increasingly striving to liberate data from disparate systems. A broad set of approaches have been promoted under the generic term Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). This has led to confusion about what the term and approach actually means. We believe businesses do not need the complex enterprise service bus products advocated by vendors.
