Thoughtworks is seeking a proactive, self-motivated, and collaborative Senior International Tax Manager to join the Global Tax Team and take responsibility for the international aspects of U.S. federal tax compliance and the quarterly tax provision process as well as assist with global tax initiatives. Leveraging external experience, best practices, technology and innovation the Senior International Tax Manager will help drive enhancements to the existing tax function to support continuous and sustainable growth.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage international aspects of in-house process for filing of U.S. federal income tax returns, including U.S. tax reporting of non-U.S. operations and compliance with transfer pricing documentation and reporting requirements
- Manage preparation of international aspects of quarterly global tax provision calculation pursuant to U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
- Support tax initiatives and special projects, e.g., cash repatriation and local country tax efficiencies
- Provide assistance with tax audits
- Coach, mentor, and develop tax skills of Senior Tax Analyst
Job qualifications
Technical skills
- At least 8-years of relevant corporate, US international and federal income tax experience
- ASC 740 experience
- Proficiency in corporate tax compliance software, Thomson Reuters OneSource preferred
- Advanced Excel capabilities
Professional skills
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or similar background required
- Master’s degree in taxation or accounting and/or CPA preferred
- Strong organizational and communication (both oral and written) skills
- Willingness and enthusiasm for team-oriented work as well as continuous learning and personal growth within the organization
- Proven ability to coordinate multiple projects/assignments simultaneously and complete assigned tasks accurately and on a timely basis
