I'm a physicist, data scientist and TV presenter. As Principal Scientist at Thoughtworks in New York, I focus on helping clients gain insights from their businesses' underlying data. I'm passionate about the interconnectedness of the physical and the digital through the complex networks arising out of the Internet of Things (IoT). I have a Ph.D. in theoretical physics from Stanford University and two postdoctoral fellowships in applied math and physics from Columbia and NYU. My STEM advocacy work has been recognized by the WSJ, Oprah, CNN, TED, DLD, WIRED and others. I'm a John C. Whitehead Fellow at the Foreign Policy Association and recipient of the Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers (SHPE)'s STAR Award.
