Early Preview of Live Board

One of our goals this year was to provide our users with real-time updates on their card walls.

For the past month, we’ve been working hard on getting a working version of our live board. We’re getting closer to the finish line and we’re getting really excited. One of the things we occasionally like to do on the Mingle team is toggle on working concepts of features to get early feedback from a subset of our users.

If you were directed to this blog post via the bell notification in Mingle’s footer, that means we’ve toggled on live boards for your site. But if your site does not have live board and you would like to experience it and give us feedback, please feel free to reach out to us as well! We’d be more than happy to toggle it on for your site.

So what does that mean?

This means that everytime you are viewing a card wall, you no longer need to refresh your board to see changes. For example, anytime someone moves a card on the wall, you will automatically see that change. Other changes include adding new cards, tags, card titles, or assigning team members.

Note: You may notice that card ranks are not consistent between views. If user1 moves a card to the next column and ranks it #2, that card will show as position #1 for user2’s view. User2 will need to refresh to properly see the ranking of the card.
