This role has the following main responsibilities:
Acting as a Business and People Coach: You will be a reference for the people and an active advocate of developing your careers, ranging from individual and collective needs, leadership development, succession planning and coaching. As a People Partner you are expected to influence the business by providing support and advice to the local strategy. You will spend time with teams, working with leaders to ensure high performance teams. This may include travels to offices and client sites to meet with ThoughtWorkers for relationship building, work on the group's dynamics, especially on issues related to conflict resolution, giving and receiving feedback, and crucial conversations.
Managing the People Development Cycle and the ThoughtWorker Experience: You will work in partnership with people and local business to ensure technical and behavioural development. This will require you to play a more hands on role sometimes to ensure that our people have the tools they need to support the local strategy. This is expected to contribute as the level of engagement and to make people feel valued and evolving on their journey at ThoughtWorks so that they are part of our business for a longer time. Support the different steps in the ThoughtWorker experience like: new hire orientation (induction & orientation), probation process, development experiences, exit process, etc.
Be a program and initiatives ambassador: you will have the space and autonomy to lead and start programs related to people, such as: performance, pay, satisfaction and engagement. This includes consolidating feedback and collaborating with the people support and mobility areas (centralized services) to ensure that there is full integration, fluidity between the parties and full compliance with local legal requirements. Also be responsible for running the annual performance management and compensation review processes.
Contribute to staffing and business planning: You can collaborate on long-term planning related to people at the local level, as well as your career aspirations and current needs. With each new cycle, you will be responsible for information related also to satisfaction, turnover trends, succession strategies and development initiatives in general.
We hope you have a combination of the experiences below:
- Strong experience in HR, preferably in medium-sized companies in the consulting / professional services or technology sectors;
- Solid knowledge and experience with German labor law;
- Ability to practice coaching, development, knowledge management and performance to work in partnership with the main office leadership;
- Have groups of at least 30 people supported and feel comfortable working remotely and distributed;
- Experience in an entrepreneurial culture, implementing new ideas and creating innovative solutions for the business;
- Some prior experience or identification with start-up and horizontal management environments, where you need to ensure both the plants receive water, and communicate someone about your promotion, and both activities bring you the same level of satisfaction.
