Ruth Harrison, Managing Director, UK

As the Managing Director for ThoughtWorks UK, Ruth predominantly focuses on business development and is a leader in evolving technology and business landscape. She is a specialist in business transformation using the principles of adaptive organisational design to gain value creation for clients. She brings this insight to her work as a business adviser and consultant, working with world’s leading organisations, institutions and governments.


As founder of the highly acclaimed management consultancy The ReLUX Partnership, she remains an ambassador and is a sought-after keynote speaker and advocate of women in leadership and business. She was nominated for Diversity Leader of The Year 2017 by Tech Leaders UK, and has worked in London, New York and across the EMEA region. As a passionate Tech North Advocate, she also dedicates time to Inspire the Future national UK charity mentoring young girls and women into business and STEM careers and is committed to digitalising the North East UK region.


Gary O'Brien, Global Advisory Lead

Gary is Global Advisory Lead at ThoughtWorks and works with large enterprises to drive change to the culture, planning, governance, and structure of the enterprise to better align with customers’ needs. Gary has over 20 years of experience in helping executives, teams and individuals adopt and improve techniques to build humanistic organisations more capable of responding to the increasing pace of change. His passion lies in assisting senior leaders to increase business agility and the aligning strategy to the delivery of value to customers.
