David Reed

David is a software developer who joined as a "grad" early in the days after ThoughtWorks started hiring for graduate positions. 

Since then he has spent many years with ThoughtWorks traveling, meeting interesting people and making software that delights our clients.

If I could fix one of the world's problems, I'd put my powers to use on behalf of

Reducing the gap between the wealthiest and poorest people in the world. Part of that would also be limiting how wealthy or powerful an organization can become. 

The thing I'm most proud of from my time here is

Helping other people grow in their professional life through formal and informal training and coaching.

The best advice I can give a current or future ThoughtWorker is

Keep learning, this includes new ways to learn when your old ways stop yielding easy gains.

The world we live in is sometimes far from our technical expectations and/or social responsibility expectations. See this as an opportunity to help things get better and don't let it become a source of frustration.
