Reporting to the Australian Finance Director &amp; SEA Controller, you will be supporting the finance team in performing the following responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Liaising with offshore shared service team to manage full set of accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and general ledger functions</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Month-end ledger close process, including monthly review of shared service journals, review of inter company postings, identifying other cost and OPEX month-end journals to ensure that books are closed timely and accurately</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Review and follow up on balance sheet account reconciliations</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Month-end Income Statement variance analysis&nbsp;</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Cash and balance sheet forecasting, debt and working capital management</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Preparation of year end Statutory Accounts and income tax working papers</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Ensure Fixed Assets Register are updated timely and reconcile with physical records</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Liaison with external agents to manage and review payroll calculation, preparation of payroll files for month-end posting, annual leave reconciliation and purchase leave reporting</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Manage calculation and lodgement of workers’ compensation, payroll taxes, BAS, FBT, PAYG and withholding tax filings. This includes monitoring and ensuring ATO payments are on time and reconciled timely&nbsp;</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Point of liaison for expatriate taxes and following up with global mobility team on employee tax refunds and payments</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Managing year-end audits</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Ad-hoc finance reporting and analysis as required, and other duties related to the finance function, including but not limited to, insurance renewals, timesheets managements, and handling queries from internal business, clients and vendors</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Be the finance point of contact and work with other departments and business units on a range of financial challenges or projects such as system roll outs, integration or improvements to achieve overall efficiencies</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">Assisting with internal controls and risk assessments, and contribute to making recommendations for continuous process improvements&nbsp;</li> </ul> <p>About you:</p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You ideally would have been trained by a top tier accounting firm</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You will have a minimum of 3 years post qualification industry experience</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You have a professional accounting qualification</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You are process and deadline driven and have a keen eye for detail and ability to spot trends and anomaly</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You are a critical thinker and problem-solver</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You have excellent written and verbal communication skills</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You have thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures</li> <li style="font-weight: 400;">You have experience with creating financial statements</li> </ul>ThoughtworksSydneyAustralia
