We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Data Protection Specialist to join our team who brings a pragmatic, business partner approach. Our team advises internal best practice, as well as assisting our professional services teams to develop ethical technology with our clients. 

Job Responsibilities

  • Day to day coordination of rights requests, queries, and agreement reviews.
  • Working with client teams to ensure we are developing in a compliant manner.
  • Providing front line support to business operations and internal stakeholders.
  • Reviewing vendors.
  • Providing advice and guidance on data privacy. 
  • Ensuring the Record of Processing Activities is up to date.
  • Assisting with data related training, online and in person.

Job qualifications

Technical skills

  • Solid understanding of data protection best practice, and standards, including UK GDPR and GDPR.
  • Deep knowledge of how to practically apply legislation to business scenarios.
  • Good understanding of technology.
  • Exhibit sound analytical and business judgment skills.
  • Confident in giving data protection advice
  • 2 Years+ in a similar role.

Professional skills

  • Service orientated.
  • Undeterred by ambiguity, uncertainty, and limited resources.
  • Efficient communicator.
  • Demonstrate professional and personal resilience. 
  • Able to work efficiently as part of a team.
  • Strong sense of urgency and ownership.

Desirable

  • Formal qualification in Data Protection such as CIPP
  • Familiarity and experience with the application of non-GDPR data protection regulations
  • Bilingual in English and German, Spanish, Mandarin, or Portuguese
  • Solid understanding of Information Security
