In this newly created role, you will work closely with sales and marketing colleagues, to identify, build and grow new client relationships and ultimately help us achieve our ambitious client acquisition and revenue growth goals.

Job responsibilities

  • You will carry out desk-based research using LinkedIn, Sales Navigator, sales databases and other sources, to identify target accounts and leads, and reach out, engage and build relationships with leads via social networking and messaging, email and calls
  • Working with marketing colleagues, you will agree on lead nurturing strategies for each account, sending out relevant content to leads on a campaign or ad-hoc basis and inviting them to Thoughtworks events and webinars 
  • You will be responsible for qualifying both inbound and your outbound leads, as well as setting up calls/meetings for business development teams (handover to outside sales)
  • You will also support with bespoke events and other brand and business building activities

Job qualifications

Technical skills

  • You are an experienced sales professional with at least 2 years experience in field or inside sales, ideally gained within a B2B technology environment, and you are looking to build your career in business development or marketing
  • You work in a structured, methodical way and have a proven track record in meeting and exceeding targets
  • You have first-class communication skills, both written and spoken, you are a proven relationship-builder (to C level) and have good presentation skills
  • Self-motivated, you work well on your own initiative
  • You have good experience in using social and other tools to research and identify target accounts and leads. In particular, you are an active LinkedIn ‘power user’ – with a proven track record of building your network, sharing content and insights to engage your network, and building relationships
  • You are excited to work in a dynamic, high-growth entrepreneurial environment where collaboration, empowerment, curiosity, energy and growth are valued attributes
