You could influence the digital strategy of a retail giant, build a bold new mobile application for a bank or redesign platforms using event sourcing and intelligent data pipelines. You will use the latest Lean and Agile thinking, create pragmatic solutions to solve mission-critical problems and challenge yourself every day.

As a Lead Product Engineer (m/f/d) at Thoughtworks, you will do much more than delivering. You will:

• Design and guide architecture and infrastructure to enable rapid product development and innovation with evolvability in mind
• Influence and drive decision-making with our clients, with a focus on business and user value
• Build, support and coach cross-functional delivery teams
• Utilize the latest technology thinking from our tech radar in your work
• Enrich design and product thinking with innovative technical solutions to user problems given current technical trends
• Create early assessment and integration of current technical landscape in product design and roadmap 
• Be an ambassador for product and technical concerns across teams to ensure both functional and cross-functional priorities are considered in product design and development
• Develop a product mindset amongst delivery teams to drive holistic understanding of technical delivery with tight feedback loops
• Evolve Thoughtworks product and design services with like-minded peers
• Be a tech driver for Idea to Market (I2M) and Product Management Transformation engagement
• Care for evolutionary design whilst leading and inspiring software development teams
• Learn something new everyday and work with creators of tools, blogs, and books who have influenced the IT Industry

Here's what you'll bring:

• Experience as an engineer with a product mindset
• Being able to share technical/data knowledge in a way that is easily understandable by non tech/data folks.
• Passion to drive product thinking, manage product tradeoffs and prioritization, and collaborate effectively with both designers and product managers
• Passion for technical feasibility
• Understanding of the tools and techniques required to build accessible products and experiences
• Knowledge on emerging tech trends to be able to identify new product innovation opportunities which were not exploitable with the previous generation of tech
• Ability to impart knowledge, instruction or information through the applied practice of instruction or supervision so as to develop abilities in others
• Hands-on development experience with a mix of languages and technologies
• Passion for clean, maintainable and scalable code
• Open and willing to regularly travel across Germany
• Interest in and passion for Product as a discipline
