At Thoughtworks, we are passionate advocates for positive social impact and greater equality in our industry and wider society. As such, we believe it’s important to find space for women leaders to share common concerns, experiences and learnings. We launched Limitless specifically for this purpose.

 

We are delighted to see the Limitless community continue to grow and are proud to facilitate valuable dialogue alongside trailblazing women speakers from diverse backgrounds.

Latest event | June 20, Newcastle

Ruth Harrison, Limitless founder and Global Head of Industry Domains, Thoughtworks will be hosting a special instance of Limitless UK as a fringe event with the TechNExt tech festival for the North East. This will be in person, in Newcastle on June 20, 8:30-10:00 am. During this morning event Ruth will share insights from her background and what spurred her four years ago to create this event series and to build this community as a safe space for women leaders to share common concerns, experiences and learnings. She’ll also highlight some of the powerful conversations that have taken place, the impact these sessions have had on attendees and speakers, and more.

Ruth Harrison is an award winning business leader who has spent the past three decades at the intersection of business and technology. She established the highly acclaimed ReLUX Partnership, a global consultancy advising digital startups on strategic planning, go-to-market scale and expansion. In 2019 she founded Limitless, a forum for women C-suite executives in business and technology that has enlisted over 400 members in four years. In 2022 she founded One Digital Collective, a community impact initiative, creating game changing solutions on an industrial scale -- she collaborates with and advises business leaders and government agencies on how to break down and solve large scale issues for maximum impact and value creation.

 

She is a go-to commentator on the evolving technology and business landscape and its influence on digital transformation. She is considered a specialist in company turnaround/brand building, accelerated growth strategies and business transformation including strategic trading models, operational excellence and change. Working with world-leading commercial organizations, academic institutions and governments, she is an experienced board-level executive who spearheaded addressing the UK digital skills shortage -- founding One Digital Collective a working model for academia, business and public with its sole purpose of making good things happen. The first goal is to train fifty thousand coders in the North East UK within 36 months.

She was recognized in the Northern Power Women’s Top 50 Power List 2018/19/20. Once named the most powerful woman in television, Dawn has built a barrier-breaking career championing equality for women and the LGBTQI+ community. Former CEO of Getty Images, Dawn has held senior positions at Yahoo!, BSkyB, Channel 5, ITV and was most recently appointed Interim Chair of Channel 4.  A role model for hard work, resilience and inclusion Dawn shares the lessons learned from her incredibly accomplished career in broadcasting.
