Finance ERP Support Analyst (Peoplesoft) (remote)

As a Finance ERP Support Analyst you will closely work with global finance team to understand both tactical and strategic initiatives from finance team that need to support PeopleSoft Finance system. Have a holistic understanding of the purpose of the initiative, outcomes expected from IT teams, expected timelines from business and right stakeholders within finance for each of the initiatives. Resolve any critical/urgent support tickets that get logged in the US hours from finance. You may work remotely anywhere in the United States for this role, but travel to our Chicago office is required as needed. 

Job responsibilities

  • Resolve any critical/urgent support tickets that get logged in the US hours from finance. Support Month-end Financial Process, Troubleshoot, and fix issues.
  • Work with the global finance team to understand both tactical and strategic initiatives from finance team that need PeopleSoft Finance team’s support. 
  • Be part of Finance Governance forums and share PeopleSoft Finance team updates/risks from PeopleSoft Finance to the group
  • Participate in all meetings with Finance which has any PeopleSoft Finance impact discussed
  • Help translate the requirements from business to technical terms for the offshore team. Participate in solutioning discussions to provide inputs as required
  • Be a bridge between Business and Offshore teams.
  • Help the PeopleSoft Finance team identify the priorities of multiple initiatives, and forced ranking for the same if the situation demands
  • Work closely with the BA and PM of the team to understand the progress of initiatives, sharing any feedback on the same and also discussing any initiatives that are being looked at by finance team for the future
  • Work with the leadership team for any work that will require integration across/will have cross dependencies
  • Help the team in unblocking in situations where they are stuck for stakeholders' inputs specifically due to timezone constraints (help facilitate meetings/work with stakeholders in the US time zone to clarify any requirements)
  • Regularly connect with the PeopleSoft Finance team to share updates from the finance for any change in priorities, any critical issues that need to be addressed
  • Work closely with the offshore team to address any month-end support issues that require immediate attention 

Job qualifications

Technical skills

  • Working in a techno role supporting “PeopleSoft system version 9 to 9.2”, or “Oracle Apps” with a maximum experience of 6 years of experience in the Financial Domain.
  • Basic understanding of technical aspects for reports, nVisions & PS Queries. Good to have an experience with Payables, Receivables, and General ledger modules.
  • Good in communication and able to drive meetings
  • Ability to interact with users for requirement gathering and fitting them with delivered functionalities with minimal customization.
  • Experience in providing production support
  • Good to have knowledge of global accounting procedures and practices.

  • Must be creative, innovative and be able to work in a fast-paced environment with ability to abstract detail into larger patterns, familiarity with user-centered analysis and evaluation techniques. 

Other things to know

While we’ve traditionally been a traveling consultancy, travel is not required for this role at the moment. We anticipate the need for travel to our client locations in the future when it’s deemed safe.
