(Junior) HR Business Partner (m/f/d)

As a HR Business Partner you act as an enabler and bridge for our remarkable talents and striving business:

The role covers all people engagement initiatives through the employees’ life cycle, in alignment with the company’s business and people strategies. The objectives are to connect with people, provide links to the business, create an engaged workplace / culture, act as an advocate for employees, and establish and drive a credible and trustworthy people brand.

Job Responsibilities

  • Enabler for People Development and Experience:
    • Take care of our people from onboarding to exit with a special focus on their personal development
    • Partner with all relevant stakeholders to understand the challenges of the consulting business and develop people operations to perfectly meet people and business needs
    • You will be a reference for the people and an active advocate of developing careers, ranging from individual and collective needs, leadership development, succession planning and coaching 
    • Leverage meaningful data, while implementing new processes to continuously improve our Thoughtworker experience.
  • Champion for strengthening the Thoughtworks culture & engagement
    • Continuously assessing the employee pulse and cultural climate
    • You will spend time with teams and working with leaders to ensure you build high-performance teams
    • You will constantly partner with our business leaders and be an ambassador for Thoughtworks culture, values and ways of working
  • Ambassador for people & talent related policies, processes & practices  
    • Communicating and raising awareness of policies and procedures to leaders and employees 
    • Consolidate feedback and collaborate with the people support team to ensure that there is full integration, fluidity between the parties and full compliance with local legal requirements 
    • First line support for employee relations and issue resolution
    • Ensure accurate and effective implementation of people processes

Job qualifications

Craft skills

  • Relevant experience as a Talent Business Partner
  • Excellent communication skills particularly in the areas of positive influencing, crucial conversations, facilitation and active listening
  • Knowledge of all relevant steps of an employee lifecycle and performance and compensation review processes
  • Knowledge of German Labor Law
  • Ability to work data driven
  • Fluent English language skills, German is a plus

Professional skills

  • Ability to multi-task and drive items to closure through well-honed planning & organizing
  • Passion for people and strong ability to give guidance and build strong relationships
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with people at various levels, with sound influencing capability. 
  • Proven ability to operate as part of a team as well as independently
  • Resilience and ability to deal with ambiguity
  • Open to travel occasionally across Germany
