Securing Trust for Strategic Advantage

Why digital safety has become business-critical

Tuesday 12 November 2019

Radisson Edwardian

Free Trade Hall, Peter St, Manchester M2 5GP

The rapid advance of new technologies presents organisations more opportunities than ever to learn about and forge connections with their customers - but also unprecedented risks that can no longer be addressed by out-of-the box solutions or a single team. Today, the impacts of cyber attacks aren’t just measured in terms of monetary losses. They can erode customer trust and cause reputational fallout from which an organisation may never truly recover.

The evolving nature of cyber threats makes security a strategic imperative, and a collective responsibility. Today’s business leaders have a duty to set the tone from the top, taking steps to ensure security extends beyond technology to become part of organisational culture. Join us for an insightful discussion of the changing security demands facing business leaders, and the strategies and tools that underpin a safe and sustainable digital enterprise while elevating the customer experience.

About ThoughtWorks Digital Dialogue

Digital Dialogue is a pragmatic discussion forum that brings together senior leaders from diverse sectors, to explore the key aspects of organisational reinvention and find out ways to build business agility.

We will see how the role of technology is shifting from the one that creates and manages “digital assets” to one that is deeply enmeshed within a truly “digital business”. What it takes to set up a culture where the most creative market opportunities are shaped and enabled by technology.

Revolutionary Organisations of the Future: Creating Meaningful Change. Fast.

Kit Collingwood explores the importance of a human centred approach towards business transformation.

Mike Beaven explains how organisations can use existing legacy technology to remodel for the future.

Modernising Legacy IT Systems to Unlock Value

"In this era of constant change, your systems quickly start to hold you back, shackling you from achieving your business goals. You have to find a way to disrupt yourself before someone or something else disrupts you: at that point, it is too late to retain the upper hand. Now is the time to compare the risk of updating your core systems against the true risk of doing nothing."
