Frontend architecture in the wild | May 11, 1:00 pm IST

Tech Webinar is a series of talks and panel discussions by ThoughtWorkers that aims to bring insights, trigger conversations, and spark ideas around all that’s relevant to tech practitioners.

When we are about to start a frontend project, frameworks & tools take up a lot of our mind space in thinking about a solution. However, when it is the question of an enterprise-grade frontend to be accessed by numerous end-customers, frameworks and tools are just a part of the solution. Please join us as we uncover many dimensions of frontend engineering & architecture.

IWD Special Webinar: Making a Mark in Tech

In our continued commitment to making the tech industry a more inclusive space, we take this opportunity to share with you the journey of three amazing women from ThoughtWorks India. From switching domain expertise and juggling priorities, to working with strong allies, in this session, our panelists will talk about what making a mark in tech has meant for them.

Kubernetes and Its Discontents

Kubernetes simplifies the deployment and management of container-based workloads on-premises, in the public cloud and at the edge. Many organizations have benefitted from the adoption of K8S, which does explain the popularity.

In this panel discussion, the panelists explore behind-the-scenes of those claims and benefits and get an answer to "how tall do you need to be” for leveraging Kubernetes effectively.

Unboxing Serverless

Serverless can seem mysterious if you are not familiar with it. Once you understand it, it can still be confusing. There are a lot of choices to make and a lot of old architectural habits don’t transfer well. In this webinar, we will unbox “serverless” and provide you with a mental model to navigate the serverless landscape.

Accessibility Matters!

As part of Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), we hosted this webinar on 21st May to further the discussion on accessible tech. Watch the recording where we discuss what accessibility means and explore the need for building accessible applications. We also talk about the many types of disabilities, and how to build and test accessible apps.

9 things to watch out for with Microservices

Microservices has been the architecture du jour lately. However, people who dive into it just because it is “cool” find themselves tied in knots. Before people adopt this architectural style, it is important to understand that there are prerequisites - for both the organizational maturity, as well as the problem space. Listen to the recording where our panelists explore what happens when these prerequisites are not met and people still dive into microservices architecture.

Understanding Event-Driven Architecture

As enterprises are adapting to a more digital future, everyone seems to be moving towards EDA. They hope it will make them more nimble in responding to the market. But there are good ways and bad ways to do it. Listen to the recording where our panelists explore patterns, anti-patterns and trade-offs when using EDA in the enterprise world.
