I am a deep systems thinker, with over a decade of experience in agile and lean development processes.
I consider myself a life-long learner, keen on travel and am often found in cafes where they serve good coffee.
The thing I love most about my work is
that we get to work on technology solutions that solve interesting, real problems. I'm constantly amazed at the real world things we can accomplish with new technology and when it has a real impact on people, it makes it all the more worthwhile.
The best advice I can give a current or future ThoughtWorker is
to have a passion for learning. This means making mistakes (failing fast!) and have the courage to ask questions.
The thing I'm most proud of from my time here is
being able to share my experiences through books I have published. "The Retrospective Handbook" gives advice on making retrospectives more effective for teams that use them. The most recent book, "Talking with Tech Leads" explores the challenges and shares experiences of a large variety of Tech Leads around the world.
