Joe Hall

Code Junkie, Bit Jockey
I'm an old dog, learning new tricks. 25 years in the software development industry, but my TDD journey only started in 2015. I'm a generalist who's only happy when his hands are on the keyboard.

In my spare time, I like to draw. When you see my artistic creations, you'll understand why I make my living as a programmer.

The best parts of my role involve collaborating with the incredible talent at ThoughtWorks, getting the chance to work on a wide variety of techs, and finding new ways to delight the client.

The Interview

My geeky passion is

Game development. It's what got me into programming in the first place. I've written a book on XNA game programming (2007), and am in the process of writing a replacement tome based on MonoGame (eta. 2016). I teach a game programming camp every summer in NC for teens from around the country.
