Recruitment Marketing and Events Executive2021-09-01T12:15:50-04:00<div> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;"><a href="" target="_blank">Thoughtworks</a>, a fast growing technology company with 8,000 people around the globe, is seeking a Marketing Executive to join our UK Marketing Team. We’re looking for a self-starter with 2-4 years marketing experience to help execute regional campaigns and events that will promote our cultural and technology excellence to senior technologists. The successful candidate will also be responsible for partnering with our recruitment team at selected conferences, producing promotional materials and managing our local employer brand.</span></p> <p><strong>Job Role</strong></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">This is a hands-on role for a proactive individual happy to roll up their sleeves and get stuck in with everything that being a part of a fast moving marketing organisation involves. One week you’ll be organising a conference, writing social media posts, and agreeing sponsorship opportunities, the next you’ll be on a recruiter stand presenting the benefits of working with Thoughtworks to potential candidates - no two days will be the same. You must have a passion for events, online and in person, ensuring Thoughtworks can reach and stay relevant to the technologist community.</span></p> <p><strong>ResponsibilIties</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage our community of technologists with content and regular events including the bi-annual launch of ‘Tech Radar’ a leading independent technology publication, and ‘Infrastructure Webconf’ a biannual infrastructure event.</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Manage ‘Access Thoughtworks’ our candidate nurture stream, working with global teams to localise content and report on results</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Plan and execute XConf, a 100 person full day pan EU conference for technologists, designed by technologists hosted in Manchester</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Monitor Glassdoor and plan and execute activities for engaging reviewers, reporting back to the leadership regularly</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Design and plan recruiting events, serve as brand ambassador at industry conferences incl. Grace Hopper Europe, Agile Manchester and ITs not just for the boys</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Take ownership of Thoughtworks UK’s awards strategy, ensuring our work and Thoughtworkers are celebrated throughout the the IT and Business community</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Act as the bridge between the UK market and the Global Employer brand team, ensuring you feed insights to the global teams and leverage global campaigns in the market</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Be responsible for managing Thoughtworks collateral and giveaways for our clients and candidates</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Be the Thoughtworks liaison between industry partners ensuring we’re optimising our sponsorship investment</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Track, measure and report on campaign results&nbsp;</span></li> </ul> <p><strong>The Candidate</strong></p> <ul> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Recruitment marketing experience, with experience working with recruiters or in a similar role a bonus</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Events experience is a must, virtually and in person, running events will be a key part of this role</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Superior writing skills, you’ll be required to write copy for social media campaigns, award entries and campaigns</span></li> <li style="font-weight: 400;"><span style="font-weight: 400;">Strong stakeholder management and communication skills are essential.
