John Galioto, Chief Operating Officer

John Galioto is responsible for the company's global operations, including the development and execution of its business strategy and financial planning. In this role, John is also responsible for the global people operations function and for driving change initiatives through the ThoughtWorks' regions.

John offers progressive leadership and more than twenty years' experience delivering business value to clients through strategic consulting, systems development and systems integration. He has served customers throughout North and Latin America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa. John has been at ThoughtWorks for four years, first serving as US East Coast Region Director, where he had executive and operational responsibility for the New York office and all ThoughtWorks' client accounts in the Eastern time zone of the United States. He later took on the additional roles of US Sales Lead and US Central Region Lead before moving to the United Kingdom. John served as the Managing Director of the UK for 2007 before assuming the Chief Operating Officer role in 2008.

Prior to joining ThoughtWorks, John spent a sixteen-year career at American Management Systems (now CGI), where his roles included four years as Vice President and running the global Trade Services practice. At AMS, John developed and applied extensive expertise in selling and delivering systems solutions to the Financial Services market.
