Supporting your Applications

Our early and incremental delivery approach means that our applications are usually in production earlier than you might expect. The developers who build the software support and evolve the applications throughout the early stages.

ThoughtWorks also offers 3rd level support indefinitely for applications we either:

  • build in their entirity, or
  • build in conjunction with a client.

For most applications, there is no clear end of Development and beginning of Support. Once the volume of new functionality introduced decreases, following the completion of the initial application development and high value features and functionality, ThoughtWorks Support services would commence.

Supporting your team though Knowledge Transfer

Knowledge transfer is embedded into our approach, rotating co-sourced pairs ensures constant learning; everyone on the project has something to teach and something to learn from everyone else. We also set up learning lunches if there is a particular technology or topic that the team wants to understand further, either run by a ThoughtWorker on the team or bringing in one of our other experts.

This constant learning is bolstered by carefully planned, stepped phases of roll-off from the project, during which time we work with you and your partners to ensure your applications are fully supported and fit for a changing business environment.
