ThoughtWorks University is our 6 week training program for recent graduate hires which has been running for 5 years now, at the ThoughtWorks training campus in our Bangalore office.
The syllabuses have been developed by ThoughtWorks employees from around the globe, from each functional area: Business Development, Business Analysis, Development, Project Management and Legal and Finance.
Our training approach is unique; we have taken the core Agile practices of the company and applied them to the training program.
ThoughtWorks' practices and values spread quickly across the entire company from project-to-project and person-to-person interaction. We value experience and challenges because they provide us with detailed feedback and we enjoy sharing what we have learned with other ThoughtWorkers.
Sharing and growing from these experiences was easy when ThoughtWorks was small, but now as a global organization spread across four continents, getting other ThoughtWorkers' attention has become more difficult.
By engaging new hires in interactive and collaborative exercises based on experience from across our global organization we are able to introduce the values, principles, and practices that have made us ThoughtWorks.
Each course comprises facilitated class-room sessions as well as individual performance coaching and review. We provide attendees with an opportunity to explore issues faced everyday on our projects and within the ThoughtWorks community.
Our goal is to enable new ThoughtWorks employees to discover the confidence it takes to be professional consultants and to take an active role in shaping ThoughtWorks' culture.
