Dave Whalley , Chief Operating Officer

Dave Whalley is ThoughtWorks' Chief Operating Officer. In his role, Dave is responsible for the day-to-day activities of the company. He heads the team which ensures the successful delivery of ThoughtWorks' engagements, as well as overseeing ThoughtWorks' internal functions - from People to Systems.

Prior to becoming COO Dave was Global Head of Delivery, which involved the management of a Global Delivery Assurance function as well as owning the capabilities which define the Agile processes used to deliver a wide range of services to clients.

In earlier roles with ThoughtWorks, Dave was directly responsible for some of ThoughtWorks' largest and most complex, mission-critical projects including the management of a multi-year programme of work to replace of a legacy point-of-sales/stock management system for a FTSE 100 electronics retailer.

Dave has been a part of ThoughtWorks for seven years. Prior to joining ThoughtWorks, Dave has over 20 years experience in a wide range of different industries including product development, defense and financial service consultancies.
