Jim has over 25 years of rich experience in the software and IT industries, is a co-signer of the Agile Manifesto, and makes frequent appearances as a keynote speaker at industry events. A prolific author, Jim has written some of the most influential texts on Agile methodologies. He is now focused on applying Agile broadly within the enterprise to help executive management, development, and IT operations work together to achieve true business agility.
Prior to joining ThoughtWorks, Jim directed Cutter Consortium's Agile Project Management Advisory Service and has been a sought-after consultant for IT and product development organizations and software companies in the U.S., Europe, and around the world.
Jim has a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from North Carolina State University, and a Master of Science in Management from the University of South Florida.
