Neal Ford, Director / Software Architect / Meme wrangler

Neal Ford assists our teams with deep technical expertise in the design and construction of large-scale enterprise applications. He is in global demand as a consultant in software architecture, trends, and technology, having presented at over 100 developer conferences worldwide, and delivering more than 600 talks. He is a member of our Technology Advisory Board.

Neal has authored numerous magazine articles, video presentations, and 6 books, including the most recent, The Productive Programmer. He wrangles Java, C#/.NET, Ruby, Groovy, functional languages, Scheme, Object Pascal, C++, and C. Before joining ThoughtWorks, Neal was CTO at The DSW Group, Ltd.

Neal has a degree in computer science from Georgia State University specializing in languages and compilers and a minor in mathematics specializing in statistical analysis.
