Chris Murphy , Managing Director, Asia-Pacific

Chris Murphy is responsible for the company's Australian and Asia-Pacific operations, including the development and execution of ThoughtWorks’ Asia-Pacific business strategy and ensuring the delivery of measurable value for its employees and clients alike.

Chris joined ThoughtWorks in the United Kingdom in September 2004, initially as Associate General Counsel and later as Director of Operations, where he was responsible for the commercial, financial, operational and legal aspects of ThoughtWorks’ UK business.

Prior to joining ThoughtWorks Chris had 10+ years experience working in the information technology industry, initially as a developer and computer science instructor and later as a commercial IT/IP lawyer working for law firms and businesses in Australia and the United Kingdom. Chris has obtained Bachelor degrees in Law and Science (Computer Science) from the University of Melbourne, and Master degrees in Law (Intellectual Property) and Information Technology from Monash University, Australia. He is qualified as a solicitor in Australia, England and Wales.
