The 5th annual "Agile China" conference is going to take place in Beijing New Century hotel from Oct. 14-15, 2010. ThoughtWorks will be hosting this conference in conjunction with CSDN and InfoQ, with speakers from across the industry.

As the largest cutting-edge technology and Agile practice discussion forum in China, Agile China has been making an impact since its inception in 2006. In previous conferences, well-known Agile evangelist Martin Fowler, Kent Beck, Dave Thomas, and Fred George came and shared their experiences with thousands of technology enthusiasts. The conference has since influenced and shaped the Agile development process and practices in China.

The 5th "Agile China" is going to use "A Decade of Agile" as its main theme to review the revolutionary impact Agile has had in the software industry since its inception - from being gradually practiced and accepted by many developers, to Agile methodologies becoming mainstream in the software development industry today.

Keynote Speakers Martin Fowler, Mary & Tom Poppendieck and James Grenning

The 5th Agile China conference's keynote speakers include ThoughtWorks chief scientist, well-known software development guru, and Agile manifesto signatory, Martin Fowler; world Lean software development leaders, founders of Lean thinking to software development, Mary and Tom Poppendieck; and embedded systems development guru, Agile manifesto signatory James Grenning.

Martin will talk about his view on "21st Century Software Design" through reviewing milestones in Agile software development history with Agile communities in China. Lean master Mary Poppendieck will share successful cases of applying lean thinking/methods in IT industry in order to light the way of Agile movements for the next decade. James Grenning made his name recently among the Chinese telecommunication industry with his TDD practices in embedded systems development. He will come and share his experience and help Chinese enterprises implement TDD in the embedded systems domain.
